Jefferson County law enforcement has arrested a lady just outside Austin wanted for the murder of a 16-year-old girl. Who Is Chelsea Shipp?
Chelsea Shipp, 25, and also Cody Arnold, 22, are charged with murder linked to the shooting death of Katelynn Nicole Stone. A Jefferson County significant jury indicted both on Wednesday. According to a probable reason affidavit, Arnold feared Stone was pregnant and told Shipp he could obtain in trouble. Shipp is charged with shooting Stone while she was asleep in a mobile home near Fannett. Arnold was charged on March 27, 2022, after deputies found Stone's body in his transportable home. Why Was Chelsea Shipp Arrested?
Jefferson County issued a murder warrant behind deputies who found 16-year-old Katelynn Nicole Stone of Vidor dead on Sunday, March 27, at the house at the 14000 block of Kolb's Crossroad in west Jefferson County. Associates say Stone had been shot, and her relative has been notified. Law enforcement had been searching for Shipp since Sunday, placing out a news release Wednesday, March 30, with details on the vehicle she may have been using. The local Crime Stoppers showed a reward of $1,000 for any tips on Shipp's whereabouts. Deputies told the public she was still believed to be armed while on the run.

Chelsea Shipp Cody Arnold
Shipp was transmitted and booked at the Jefferson County Correctional Facility early Thursday afternoon. Justice of the Leisure Ben Collins Sr. set Shipp's bond at $1 million, Beaumont report station KFDM reports. Jefferson County associates arrested 22-year-old Cody Arnold and charged him with killing on Sunday. He is always in the Jefferson County jail on a $1 million bond. Arnold and Shipp's relationship with Stone was not disclosed.
