The actress María Elena Enríquez Ruiz, better known as Helena Rojo , was born on August 18, 1944 in Mexico City. In 1968 she debuted on the big screen with the film Los Amigos. She studied theater with Mexican directors such as Carlos Ancira and José Luis Ibáñez. She continued participating in films such as The Suicide Club (1970), The Bad Girls of Father Méndez (1970), Cross of Love (1970), The House of the South (1975), Doll Queen (1972), Once a Man and Angels and Cherubs (1971). In 1974 she debuted on television with the telenovela Extraño en su pueblo de el and in 1998 she achieved international projection starring in El Privilege de Amar . This was followed by others like Abrazame very strong , Real love , Inocente de ti, Pilgrim and World of beasts . Among his most recent projects are the television series The Flight of Victory, The Candidate and Corazón que miente. She was married for many years to the actor Juan Ferrara, with whom she had three children. She is currently married to Benjamín Fernández.
