Who Is Maneet Chauhan?

Maneet Chauhan is an Indian-American chef and reality TV personality famous for Food Network's reality shows Holiday Wars, Chopped, and Worst Cooks in America. She has appeared on various Tv shows like The Next Iron Chef, The View on ABC, Iron Chef America, and The Today show on NBC. President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama invited Chef Maneet Chauhan to the Annual Easter Egg Roll Hunt 2014 at the White House. She is also an invited member of the Indiaspora that hosted 100 influential Indian American leaders as part of its first Forum in September 2012.

Maneet Chauhan was born on October 27, 1976, in Ludhiana, Punjab. She holds Indian American nationality and comes from an Asian ethnicity. She attended Manipal University, followed by the Culinary Institute of America. After her graduation, she was hired as manager for a startup restaurant, and in 2003, she became the opening executive chef of Vermillion. She owns two restaurants, Chauhan Ale and Masala House, which were opened in 2014.

Maneet Chauhan married Vivek Deora, who is a hospitality executive and has opened 24 restaurants in over eight countries. He is also the co-founder of  Morph Hospitality Group in Tennessee. The couple is also involved in Frankin's Mantra Brewing and Steel Barrel Brewery, the largest craft brewery in the state. Maneet and Vivek met each other for the first time while they were attending the same university. They eventually fell in love and tied the knot in 2007. The couple gave birth to two children, Shagun and Karma.
