English actress Laura Haddock started acting in 2007 and is known for her roles in TV shows like Honest and Da Vinci’s Demons.
She got her film break with 2011’s The Inbetweeners Movie which would go on to become the highest-grossing British comedy film of all time. She is also known for her role as Meredith Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy and its sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Laura Jane Haddock was born on August 21, 1985, in Enfield, London. Raised in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, by her parents (her mother is a reflexologist and her father a corporate financier), young Laura fell in love with theater and film.
As a child, Laura changed her mind several times about her future career and planned to become many things, including a police officer.
However, her father could see that she didn’t really want to become those things but act them instead. Thanks to her father, Laura was able to decide to pursue an acting career.
After graduating from St George’s School at the age of 17, she continued her education at Arts Educational School in Chiswick, London. But success in the film industry didn’t happen overnight for Laura. In her early years after graduating from drama school, she was repeatedly rejected but was undeterred.
And then came 2007 and Haddock started getting small parts in TV shows and TV movies, including episodes in My Family, Comedy Showcase, The Color of Magic and Marple: A Pocket Full of Rye.

In 2008, she played her first leading role in a TV show in Honest. She scored another starring role on ITV1 Monday on Monday, playing the role of Natasha.
Laura didn’t score a feature film role until 2011, but when she finally did in The Inbetweeners Movie, it was worth the wait. The comedy film grossed £64.8m against a budget of £3.5m. The role earned her an Empire Award nomination for Best Female Newcomer. It was a big break for his career as more gigs were coming.
After a slew of TV show appearances, Haddock landed another major role in Da Vinci’s Demons, playing Lucrezia Donati, Lorenzo de’ Medici’s mistress and Leonardo da Vinci’s lover. Her role lasted until the show ended in 2015.
For her role in Guardians of Galaxy, she won the top prize of her career – Detroit Film Critics Society and Nevada Film Critics Society for Best Ensemble Cast.
She played Viviane Wembly in Transformers: The Last Knight (2017).
Husband, relationship with Sam Claflin
Laura met fellow English actor Sam Claflin when they both auditioned for roles in My Week With Marilyn (2011). Although they both failed for the roles they auditioned for, we can bet they were grateful the film brought them together.
Laura once described meeting Sam as love at first sight and the feeling was mutual. She once told the media how, after meeting her, Sam ran up to his agent and gushed, “I just met the girl I want to marry. I like this girl like, I like her. She is perfect.”‘
Four months after they first met, Sam found her on Facebook and soon they started dating. After two years of a solid relationship, they got married on July 30, 2013.
At the Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 London premiere on November 5, 2015 (if you’re hiding under the rock, Sam is a star of the movie) it was revealed that Laura and Sam are expecting their first baby. The couple welcomed their son Pip on December 10, 2015.

In late January 2018, Sam told Radio 2’s Geri Horner that his wife Laura had given birth to their second child, a daughter. However, he refused to reveal their baby’s name.
The parents deliberately leaked too much information about their children, including posting photos of them online. The reason, Sam explained to Red Magazine in 2016, was in order to not force them into a world they might not want to get involved with.
“He might want to be a banker and change his last name for all I know,” Sam told his son’s magazine.
