The multi-talented actor was born Rupert William Anthony Friend on October 9, 1981, in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England. His family then moved to Stonesfield, Oxfordshire, where he grew up. He is the son of Caroline, a lawyer, and Nicholas Friend, a cultural historian. But there is no information about the siblings of him or the early years of his life.
