BIOGRAPHY
Svenja Jung is one of Germany’s new generation actresses who gained popularity thanks to her role as Sonia Rossi, the protagonist of Fucking Berlin (2016). Despite being a relatively young actress, Svenja has almost twenty projects on her resume, among which the film adaptation of the book The Center of My World (2016) stands out, the original version of which premiered out of competition at the Film Festival. Cannes 2001. In this production, Svenja shared credits with Louis Hoffman , one of the most famous actors in Germany thanks to his leading role in the series Dark . For these 3 roles, Svenja was nominated in several German awards for best new actress and best actress. Since 2019, Svenja began collaborating with Netflix, the streaming giant that entered the German market in 2017 with the global science fiction phenomenon, Dark , in which Svenja participated in 2020 with the role of Sonja Tannhaus, the wife. of the watchmaker’s son who creates the time machine in the series. Svenja also starred in the Netflix mini series, Holiday Secrets (2019).
