Charles Peckham Day was born on February 9, 1976 in Bronx, New York. He comes from a family of four. His mother, Mary, was a piano teacher, and his father, Thomas Charles, is a professor of music history. The actor has an older sister named Alic who has a Ph.D. also in music.
Day grew up in Rhode Island and attended schools such as Pennfield School and Portsmouth Abbey School.
